Agent Selection
BSG’s hiring process is designed to identify individuals who meet our standards from day one and continue to uphold them throughout their career.
Initial Screening
Each applicant begins with an in-depth telephone interview that evaluates communication skills, background, and overall suitability for the position.
Formal Interview and Oral Board
Qualified candidates are invited to a formal interview and oral board conducted by the CEO, COO, and a member of our management or supervisory team. This panel format ensures a balanced and thorough evaluation of the applicant’s work history, decision making, interpersonal skills, and alignment with BSG’s values. Candidates also have the opportunity to ask questions regarding daily duties and future assignments.
Background Investigation
Applicants who move forward undergo a Police Officer Standards and Training style background investigation. This includes electronic verification, reference interviews, and a review of the applicant’s personal and professional history. Additional documentation may be requested if clarification is needed.
Conditional Job Offer
Candidates who meet all requirements receive a conditional job offer pending a multi panel drug screening and background check.
Ongoing Performance Standards
Selection does not end after hiring. Every Security Agent is continuously evaluated through a combination of supervisor field checks, client feedback, and daily report reviews. Our roving in-field supervisor teams conduct unannounced site visits, assess performance, and provide coaching to ensure agents maintain BSG’s professionalism and service standards. Management also reviews incident reports, patrol logs, and client communications each day to verify accuracy, quality, and adherence to policy. This ongoing oversight allows us to address concerns quickly, reinforce best practices, and ensure every agent consistently meets the expectations of our clients and our organization.
